There are a number of products in the Adams flea treatment range, for all of the important aspects of getting rid of fleas. That is, ridding your pet of the fleas, ridding the living environment of fleas, and making sure that they do not come back. They have products that are suitable for dogs and cats, and their products do not only combat fleas but mosquitoes, ticks, and other sources of infestation as well.
One of the Adams flea treatment products are Mists for fleas and ticks, which you simply spray onto the fur of the animal and then just wait for the nasty little critters to fall off. This is a good option if your pet does not like water. However if the problem is not with a pet which is averse to water, then Adams supplies a shampoo that can be used in concert with a bath. They also provide a Pyrethrin Dip, which can be spread over your pet after it has been diluted in water. There is no need to wash it off, you just let it dry and then reapply after about seven days.
Alternatively, if you have a relatively small pet, you could try the Adams flea collar. Flea collars periodically let off some toxins, but it won’t spread very far so if your pet is too big then flea collars won’t work very well. On average, the flea collar will have to be changed every five months approximately but if there is a bad flea infestation then it might have to be changed more often.
If you do not get rid of the developing fleas in your pet’s environment, however, then they will always come back – and it is not a good thing to be constantly having to apply chemical products to your pet’s fur. To totally get rid of your flea problem, therefore, you will have to also treat your carpet for fleas. The Adams flea treatment for this comes in the form of a carpet spray. You should keep your pets and children away from it while it is still wet, however once it is dry and you have vacuumed it, then it will be safe again, and hopefully flea free. It may have to be applied again, however, to get rid of all of the developing fleas.
These Adams flea treatments will kill the fleas on your pet, work to prevent a flea problem from reoccurring and get rid of the fleas in your environment. For more information on Adams flea products, and to ascertain if it is the best option for your pet, search the internet or ask a vet or professional pest controller.
